Well it turns out that they've been moved to the Conair line as part of their new styling product assortment.  You'll find them in Conair's latest purple packaging seen here, probably tucked in next to the other styling products.

We just received our first shipment of the new curved bobbies yesterday. The brown pins are in stock now, but the black ones should be here next week.

In addition to the curved bobbies, we've also added another favorite, extra long bobbies, to the store.  You'll find them in our Bobby Pin aisle, also in purple packaging.   Extra long bobby pins also come in brown and black colors and are handy for those with thicker and curly hair that need extra hold.  Check them out!

These gift sets feature all four Bendini clips, including the small and large sizes along with the stylish Filagree version.  The ladies gift set, shown here, comes in special pink tones that you can only find with this gift set.  

We also have a kids Bendini gift set as well. That set also includes four Bendini clips in special colors not found in stores.

Best of all, both gift sets come in their own gift box with see-thru lid.  They really do make a great "little something extra" for under the tree and are great for that special holiday party. They're also a terrific value, costing a lot less than purchasing all of these items separately.

That was certainly the case with the Clincher Stretch Comb, an item for women with thick, curly and long hair that just want an easy way to put their hair up.  The Clincher Comb was originally designed by Scunci, then picked up by Goody and others, all of which discontinued the item almost a decade ago.

So you can imagine our surprise when we uncovered that Mia has revived the design and once again has it available, in the quality we remember and in three colors!  Mia, the inventor of the Tonytail, calls the item the e-Pony, an easy way to put your unweildy hair up into a ponytail.

You'll find all three e-Ponys, black, tortoise and clear, in our stretch comb category. Inventory for these must-have items will be coming soon, but you can put in your email address on our "out of stock" page and we'll alert you just as soon as they arrive.

We'll be sure to start stocking up on our beloved clincher stretch combs and make sure we're never without them again!

Included in this year's line up are a special pink package of their no-slip grip gel elastics and also a no-slip gel headwrap three pack. Both items can be found on our new Power of Pink page.

These are both limited edition items that come around only once a year.  You may find a few on them in stores, but we've ordered several cases to make sure everyone who wants to support the cause can them.

That said, don't delay, quantities are limited and once they're gone, we won't have more until next October!

Scunci Crown Clip

While the Crown Clip isn't quite as large as jumbo Bear Claw was nor does it have a flat bottom, it is worth a try. The clip measures a hefty 3.5 inches long and is quite deep in diameter as well.  All in all, it's one of the largest jaw clips that Scunci currently has in production.  It should do well for those with thick or curly hair that are in need of a replacement for the large or jumbo Bear Claws. 

The Crown Clip comes in three colors, the tortoise seen here as well as black and what we're calling gold, which is a specked yellow-y tan-ish color. Crown Clips are in stock and available now.

So if your last Bear Claws are starting to break and you're fretting about how to tame that thick head of hair, give the Crown Clip a whirl and let us know what you think.  We're anxious to see if the Crown Clip has what it takes to replace what was one of our best selling items.

Turns out after a little research with our customers that a lot of retailers have stopped carrying these, making them almost impossible to find in stores.

This is an unfortunate part of the retail game, as most drug and food stores, and even the big boys like Walmart and Target, all have limited shelf space and tend to only carry the newest and most popular items.  Scunci fuels this fire by constantly coming out with a ton of new products and designs, so retailers are usually swapping out their displays every year, sometimes twice a year!

The good news is that's why Hair Flair Boutique is in business. We carry practically every item Scunci and Conair make, and if it's not currently on our site, we can get it for you.  Our niche has always been older an hard to find items, and now you can add the Stretch Comb 3-pack to the list. We always say, if it's still being made, we can get it for you.

Conair Topsy Tail

The new Conair Topsy Tail can be seen here in its new bright purple box.  We just sold the last of our Scunci Topsy Tails, so if you're looking for the old version, you will be automatically redirected to the new version.

There is no difference between the two Topsys, both kits include the original Topsy Tail as well as the smaller Topsy Tail Jr along with three elastics and an instruction booklet with a dozen great hairstyle ideas.  

Scunci Bear Claw

While I can't say the news came as a surprise, as the bear claw is now well over 10 years old and hasn't been readily available in stores for quite some time, we still always like to think that we're selling enough of them here online for Scunci to keep making them.

But it appears that is not the case, as the large size bear claws are now gone from both our inventory and Scunci's.  This is a pretty big blow for us as well, bear claws have always been in our top 10 best selling items, right behind the Topsy Tail. 

Fortunately the Jumbo Bear Claw clips ARE still available and we have more on the way to us.  Over the next couple weeks, we'll be beefing up supplies to make sure we can meet the demand, as I expect that the jumbos demise will not be far behind their slightly smaller cousin.

Also in doubt, the small size Bear Claw 3pk, which also has disappeared from store shelves recently.  No official word from Scunci on either of these two remaining items.  

So in a nutshell, if you've got thick, curly hair and you're a fan of the Bear Claw, NOW IS THE TIME TO ORDER!  We do still have the 3pk in stock, those are available today.  The jumbo claws are on order and will be here late next week.  We don't have official word that they're discontinued, but based on what I know of Scunci, it likely won't be long.  I'd stock up now.

We're currently seeking female bloggers to help us review products and flesh out the content on our hair accessory blog.  We're not quite sure yet if this is a paying gig or not, but it would definitely involve having free run of our store to sample and write about our nearly 300 items.
